Mani and haul catch up

Hello ladies! Yes, I've gone MIA (again). Sadly, I won't be posting as much during the holiday season. With the new job, working in retail during Christmas and driving close to 3 hours a day, not much time to post. Thank you to all off you who still stop by:).

Ok, I've had a couple of hauls and quite a few manis since my last post and luckily I remembered to save the pictures in my phone. I really need to go on. Buying stop, but it's do hard this time of year! Anyways here evidence of my crazy addiction.

Baby haul

Every day off I have, I seem to visit all the spots to score polish. Today must have been truck day at T.J. Maxx because they had TONS of stuff. At least 15 different shades of Essie for $3.99, about 6 shades of Orly Color blast, some China Glaze metallic crackle sets, a couple random full size color sets from Color Club for $9.99, 4 piece mini Color Club sets for $4.99, two piece full size CC sets, some OPU duo sets for $7.99, About 6 shades of Sation for $2.99, Color Club magnetic 2 piece sets (polish and clear coat) and 2, 3 and 4 piece sets of Cynthia Rowley polish starting at $5.99. This is the first time I've ever seen Cynthia Rowley polish. They have a lot of cute sets. My store had them at the normal beauty area and at the register. I only picked up 1 Sation color, Ego-Friendly. I really had to hold myself back not to go nuts, but I just choose one mainly because I've never seen a color like that and the budget. The guy checking me out was do excited about the shade, I couldn't stop laughing. "Oh wow! This is so cool!" etc, etc. Sally had in the Finger Paints and China Glaze holiday collection including the CG sets. Marshall's didn't have much, just a couple OPI shatter sets and some Orly color blast color. I needed to stop by CVS to pick up some things and just by chance ran across the Confetti holiday colors. There it was a $2 dupe for China Glaze Pure Joy. Confetti's name is All Night Long. They did have a pretty gold glitter but I'll save that one for later. Ladies, it's time to surf your city for deals! Best of luck!

OPI- The World is Not Enough.

Silly me didn't get a picture of this when it was light outside, so it's hard to capture the beauty of this shade. The World is Not Enough is 1 of the three minis that came in the Bondettes pack. It has a nice light grey champaign base with beautiful fine rainbow shimmer. OPI did a great job with this line. It's one of my top favorites next to NM line that came out the January. Hope to see more new and interesting colors. ( yeah sorry about the hand writing. I have a habit of doing that at work:))

Two lovely OPI Skyfall polishes

I've been a fan of the James Bond movies since I was a kid. I about lost it when I saw the press release for the Skyfall collection a couple months ago. I finally got a chance to go by Ulta and check them out. Of course they were out of most of the colors but I luckily picked up the Bondettes 4 piece set and the last On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Since I didn't have Skyfall, and I still wanted to celebrate the movies US open today, I went with The Spy That Loved me and Goldeneye as a accent. Both came from the Bondettes set. They are just beautiful! I wasn't to sure about them looking at the box, but I was won over. Spy has beautiful micro red and gold shimmer in it that didn't quite pick up to great on the picture. It's so pretty! I've never been a big fan of gold polish but Goldeneye is amazing. You can layer it to get a heavy gold look and still have a nice smooth finish. I highly advise everyone to pick up the minis. You will not be disappointed!

Hello Kitty with mustaches !

I found these cuties at Claries for $1 yesterday. They are just too cute!!!! I don't trust the cheap stick on adhesive on these nails so I added some nail glue. So far, so good.

Influenster review

I'm kinda new to the site, but I have quickly fallen in love. I was invited last month by a Instagram friend and was so excited. Influenster is a great , invite only, site that lets you review products, not just beauty, and you earn points. The more points, the more influential you are. I love reading the honest reviews and being able to post my own. Plus a really cool thing is that you can earn free VoxBox's. They vary in products, and it's gives a chance to try out new products. I can't wait to earn one! Anyways, if you would like to try it out post your email and I would gladly send you a invite.

Fun with Halloween nail art

Happy Halloween everyone! Granted its almost over though:)) I was so upset because I didn't get to go any parties, hand out candy or even get to dress up for work:((( I wanted to something fun with my nails do I went for the classic monsters. Left hand is Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein. Right hand is Dracula and Wolfman. I love my bride, she's do cool. I'm super proud of the Wolfman. I did a brown crackle from Kleancolor and it fell off. Yes flaked and fell of my nails. So I covered them with Buried Alive from the Dark Shadows Orly collection. Now he looks furry from the mixture of the two. Im so sad Halloween is over. Time to start planning for Christmas!

SH salon effects -Spun for you

Hey there! Last day of vacation always sucks! I really do not want to go back.

Spun for you is one of the colors I picked up at Five Below for $3. The previous color I used was horrible. I guess I just got a bad one. This one on the other had came out awesome! You can't see it in the picture but it has a very small amount of rainbow sparkle which makes me love this more. I'm hoping if I stop by again in the next couple of day, they will have more. Thank you Sally Hansen fit making these kick ass nail strips. I love them so!

Some things I've run across this week

Cool thing about working in a new city is all the Walgreens they have and all the next stuff I run across. Sadly, I can't purchase them though. Anyway, wanted to share:)
The Impress nails were so cool! I guess Disney is really going all out on the Villains stuff, which is great. Would have liked to have a bit creativity on the line though. The Halloween ones are pretty wicked. Fantasy Makers Crackle sets are pretty neat. Good price at only $4.99 too. I'm sure they will be on sale soon too.

Catch up post!

I wanted to post a couple pics of manis and a mini haul that picked up today. I always have the intention of posting daily but with my new job I'm driving 3 hours a day and working 10 hours. It's wearing me out real quick. Anyways my first was a kinda Halloween mani with some striping tape I got off eBay. It's the first time I had ever used striping tape and it was fairly simple. I used Wet n' Wild Fantasy Makers purple potion and orange, green and purple tape.
The second is the all time favorite SH nail striped in Fishnets. I picked this one and another at Five Below for $3 rack a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure if they were not stored properly or what but these sucked! They broke or didn't peel right. I finally pieced some together to get them to look hall decent. I'm hoping the other cot doesn't do the same.
Lastley, I was doing my normal rounds of town checking out new polish and when I stopped at Walgreens, I was pleasantly surprised to see the SH complete salon manicure polishes were on clearance for $1.89!! Most of the colors were gone, but I did manage to grab a couple cool ones. Grey on Grey, Midnight in NY and, Cherry, Cherry, Boom, Boom. I also stopped by the locally owed beauty supply shop. Sadly, they didn't have much for polish and I only got 3 and some silk wraps (really interested in see how they will work) Kleancolor Black Hole, Ruby Kisses Yellow Bikini and Red Romance. I really need to change my Fishnets mani! Going to try a Halloween marble next! Have a great weekend guys.

CG It's Alive!

I'm so in love with color! This has to be one of my favorite Halloween colors. China Glaze released this last year in their Halloween line. It had some unique colors for once and super great names ! This always reminds me of that kinda cheesy evil baby movie from the 70's 'It's Alive'. It's hard to tell in the picture but it has small glitter and big chunks. It's not as green as it seems in the picture either. It's Alive! Is more of a army green. Really cool color and something that the Swamp Things girlfriend would wear :))

My first water marble!

Whoo hoooo! I'm so proud of myself. I've been dying to try this. I always see these amazing water marbles on other ladies blogs and I'm just so jealous and unsure of my abilities. I finally sat down last and tried it out. I did a pink one for Breast Cancer Awareness. I used all OPI colors. Pink of Hearts 2010, Pink Friday, & Japanese Rose Garden. Once I sat down and took my time it was pretty simple and fun! Just make sure you use room temperature water. If not, it will so not work.

Orly- Lunar Eclipse

I've been wearing this mani for a couple days. I just love the beautiful blue and purple. This was one of 6 from the fall 2010 Orly Cosmic FX line. All the colors are do amazing. I didn't get to pick up Rocket Science or Halley's Comet but luckily I got the rest. Lunar Eclipse didn't really grab me from the bottle, but once on the nail, amazing. You can wear it with one coat and leave it opaque or put 3 or 4 coats for a beautiful deep sapphire blue with purple shimmer.

My first flock

I bought the flocking months ago and never used it. Micheals had a 6 piece set for $4.99 on clearance. Last night I was pulling out my blues and pinks in polish ( only doing blue, pink and Halloween this month) and came across some teal blue flocking. My base is Sinful Colors Savage, which is not only a good dupe for OPI Fly from the NM collection but just a beautiful, creamy color. I made the mistake by painting my whole hand then applying the flocking. Didn't stick! So I reapplied one finger at a time, and it worked out ok. I think the color has turned more of a white now, but still pulls off a cool effect.

great causes you can support in October

Hello, hello. Still have the same SH nail stickers on today and they are going strong. Been waaayyyy to busy to change them but that will change soon. October is the best month in the year for me. Mainly Halloween but many great causes we can support and spread awareness of with our nails! We all know it is Breast Cancer awareness month (pink), but also it is National Anti-Bulling Month (blue). Domestic Violence Awareness Month (purple), LGBT History Month, and on a silly note, National Squirrel Awareness month:) If you are looking for specific day celebrations, Wikipedia is a great source and http://library.thinkquest.org/2886/oct.htm. (most are just fun days to do:))

S.H. Salon Effects- Fur-ocious Vocals

Ok, so I know today is national pancake day , but I have no idea on how to pull that off on nails. At least not my über sleepy brain last night. I went for some Sally Hansen salon effects. I picked up this particular on at Target a month or so ago on clearance for about $5. I'm a sucker for leopard or cheetah print accessories and nail junk. Fur-ocious Vicals is one of many styles from the Rock of Ages collection. I picked up the blue star one too. Sadly, I went back for more but they were all gone. Sally really hit the jackpot with these. Such a great selection in colors. Super fun designs for holidays or just everyday. And!, they really do last a good amount of time. My only problem is paying full price, anywhere from $9 to $12, for something I will probably only wear for a day or two with my short attention span. Please forgive the goof on my fingers and the dry cuticles.

Comic Book Nails

Today National Comic Book day so I celebrated by fancying up my nails with beloved comic characters. We all know I'm a novice. It took 2 hours to do there's. just one hand! The right hand I just painted black and did multi color dots lol. I'm pretty happy with them. Poor Spider-Man got a blue eye overnight:( Plus Batman kinda turned out like Catwoman, but oh wells. Heads up for Wednesday, September 25, it's national pancake day! Whoop whoop!!

Punctuation mani.

If you didn't know. September 24 is National Punctuation Day! Rejoice right:) I'm enjoying nail art more and more. I still suck hardcore, but its still fun. I didn't get to creative as you can see. Did a base coat of PPI Mummy Knows best then for fun added a coat of Sephora by OPI Full Moon for a cool glow in the dark. Then using assorted L.A. Colors nail art paints, added little
punctuation's. I couldn't get over how many people asked what was on my nails and they got a kick out of when I told them why. With my ever growing interest nails with art or color that supports causes or random events, be prepared for crazy and kinda jacked up nail are in the future:)

Pirate mani fail

Argh mateys! It's talk like a pirate day! I'm starting to come down with a crazy head cold ( or is it scurvy???:)) and my little brain didn't get that creative. I wanted a matte look for sure and used one of my favorite polishes, Manglaze Matte is Murder. Love and super hearts for this brand. I also used Butter London Pillar Box Red with Butter London's Matte top coat. The best matte top coat I have ever used. For the stamps I used random skulls and anchor from my crappy shany plates using OPI Mummy May I. The gold tip was done with Revlon Gold Coin. I wish the stamps had come out better and the gold tip looks a bit off but I'm really liking the matte red/black look. Time for drugs and sleepy. Have a great days ladies!:)

Coterie Butter London haul

Happy Monday ladies! So excited to share my Coterie haul with you today! I'm a stinker and signed up for a Coterie account and got a friend to sign up for one too. And being the lovely person she is, she ordered the Butter London 3 piece for me too. All together I got 6 Butter London polishes and two matte coats ( they didn't have the top coat available when we ordered:)) for only $22. OMG! We ordered on Wednesday afternoon and I received mine on Friday and she received hers today, Monday. Fastest free shipping I've ever seen. The colors are even prettier in person than any online swatches I have seen. My swatches came out a bit fuzzy and it was super cloudy by the time I got home. But trust me, these are beautiful colors! I really hope you guys got a chance to sign up. he website went live to today and i still see the advertisment for the Butter London set. Go grab it while supplies last.
