Baby haul

Every day off I have, I seem to visit all the spots to score polish. Today must have been truck day at T.J. Maxx because they had TONS of stuff. At least 15 different shades of Essie for $3.99, about 6 shades of Orly Color blast, some China Glaze metallic crackle sets, a couple random full size color sets from Color Club for $9.99, 4 piece mini Color Club sets for $4.99, two piece full size CC sets, some OPU duo sets for $7.99, About 6 shades of Sation for $2.99, Color Club magnetic 2 piece sets (polish and clear coat) and 2, 3 and 4 piece sets of Cynthia Rowley polish starting at $5.99. This is the first time I've ever seen Cynthia Rowley polish. They have a lot of cute sets. My store had them at the normal beauty area and at the register. I only picked up 1 Sation color, Ego-Friendly. I really had to hold myself back not to go nuts, but I just choose one mainly because I've never seen a color like that and the budget. The guy checking me out was do excited about the shade, I couldn't stop laughing. "Oh wow! This is so cool!" etc, etc. Sally had in the Finger Paints and China Glaze holiday collection including the CG sets. Marshall's didn't have much, just a couple OPI shatter sets and some Orly color blast color. I needed to stop by CVS to pick up some things and just by chance ran across the Confetti holiday colors. There it was a $2 dupe for China Glaze Pure Joy. Confetti's name is All Night Long. They did have a pretty gold glitter but I'll save that one for later. Ladies, it's time to surf your city for deals! Best of luck!

Fun with Halloween nail art

Happy Halloween everyone! Granted its almost over though:)) I was so upset because I didn't get to go any parties, hand out candy or even get to dress up for work:((( I wanted to something fun with my nails do I went for the classic monsters. Left hand is Bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein. Right hand is Dracula and Wolfman. I love my bride, she's do cool. I'm super proud of the Wolfman. I did a brown crackle from Kleancolor and it fell off. Yes flaked and fell of my nails. So I covered them with Buried Alive from the Dark Shadows Orly collection. Now he looks furry from the mixture of the two. Im so sad Halloween is over. Time to start planning for Christmas!

Orly- Lunar Eclipse

I've been wearing this mani for a couple days. I just love the beautiful blue and purple. This was one of 6 from the fall 2010 Orly Cosmic FX line. All the colors are do amazing. I didn't get to pick up Rocket Science or Halley's Comet but luckily I got the rest. Lunar Eclipse didn't really grab me from the bottle, but once on the nail, amazing. You can wear it with one coat and leave it opaque or put 3 or 4 coats for a beautiful deep sapphire blue with purple shimmer.

Blood splatter mani

Happy Friday 13 everyone. Yet again, no Jason movies in tv, sad face. But never fever dear readers, I have my very first splatter mani in honor of this "spooky" day. Next time I will remember to wrap my fingers with tape. Boy I made a mess. But I was really simple. I used OPI Mummy Knows Best from the 2011 spookettes minis and Orly Grave Mistake from the Dark Shadows line. I coveted my work area with wax paper and used a old Burger King straw from my drink from earlier ( glad I stopped by). I tried dipping the straw in a couple dots of polish, but I had no luck. Instead I dipped the straw in the bottle. Be careful not to dip to far in or you will just cover your nail in the color. I would blow lightly to get the "extra" out then blow on the nail. I've had soapy reactions to this manicure today. One lady was like ,"Oh my god! Looks like you murdered somebody with your nails!" Sweet! Just what I was going for. Have you tried the splatter mani? What are your best practices?

Goodies I spotted at Bed Bath and Beyond

You never really know what you can find stores today. I was out and about this afternoon and decided to drop by Ulta to check for new items. No luck:(  Bed Bath Nd Beyond is next door, I spotted makeup brand signs from outside and went in not expecting much. Oh my! They carry all the major makeup brands along with some small ones I have never seen before. They had a couple of the new Maybelline collections including Exotic Escape and Porcelains with coupons still attached to the displays. Looking through everything, BB&B has really great prices compared to the drugstores and even discount stores. I also spotted a couple displays for some polish I have not seen anywhere else. Mini Orly bottles, not just three colors you might find at CVS but a whole 2 foot fixture with so many colors. The new Color Club magnetic polish's, 2 other CC displays, and  Sally Hansen magnetic polish s. Also, They had so much Color Club it was madding. Even Ulta dosen't carry it. Such a good find. Oh! And much to my shock and delight, I found Revvvolution! I almost fainted. Never have seen this in stores. Of course, every store will have a different assortment but it never hurts to go check it out:)
